The Open Data Charter, the government of Uzbekistan and OSCE have been collaborating in open data policies for over 5 years now, starting our work with the thematic priority of anti corruption and holding several capacity building and data mapping exercises. In line with the ongoing collaboration and the needs spotted by the Uzbek government ODC proposed a collaborative session to advance open data, gender data and administrative data in Uzbekistan’s data landscape. Drawing from its extensive experience in promoting openness and partnering with governments globally, ODC sought to facilitate an evidence-based approach to policymaking. The workshop was made possible thanks to the support and organization of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan and the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
